The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Runkle moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
A head kick misses from deRobinet.
Runkle checks the leg kick.
Runkle scores with a hook.
Runkle lands a nice looking body shot.
Broyeur deRobinet seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Runkle tries to land a front kick but deRobinet steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
deRobinet pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Runkle cracks the inside of deRobinet's front leg.
deRobinet throws a lazy head kick
and Runkle cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
deRobinet throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Runkle lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
deRobinet tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Runkle thuds his right hand into deRobinet's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
