Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Anthony Burgess (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bob Blunt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Blunt is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Danzig - Mother. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Bob Blunt enters the ring!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blunt swings widly with a right hand
and Burgess counters with a left and a right that stings Blunt.
Blunt slips a straight right by Burgess.
Burgess misses with a wild combination.
Burgess throws a jab when Blunt was well out of range.
Blunt throws a nice outside leg kick.
Blunt tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Burgess counters with a straight right hand.
Blunt slips under a jab from Burgess.
Burgess fails to land with a series of punches.
Burgess loads up on a big right hand but Blunt slips the punch.
Blunt jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Blunt misses with an uppercut. Burgess saw that one coming.
A solid leg kick lands there for Blunt.
Blunt tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Burgess was well out of range. Poor timing from Blunt.
Blunt closes the distance but Burgess moves to the side
and Burgess makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Blunt misses with the combination.

Burgess uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Burgess misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Blunt counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Burgess dodges the punch combination from Blunt.
Burgess takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Blunt paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Blunt shoots in and drives through. Burgess sprawls well.
Blunt takes a shot right to the bread basket.
The fight stays on the outside here - Blunt looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Blunt closes the distance and pushes Burgess back into the ropes.

Blunt pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the ropes.

Burgess goes for a takedown attempt but Blunt pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Blunt pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Burgess throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Burgess throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Blunt on the side of the head.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Blunt.

Blunt decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Burgess is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Burgess is looking to improve his position but Blunt isn't that keen on the idea.
Burgess has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.

Blunt is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Burgess knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Burgess for a finish.

Blunt lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Blunt is pushing down on Burgess's leg trying to pass to half guard. Burgess is fighting to maintain full guard but Blunt has managed to sneak the leg through.
Blunt has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Burgess is in a bad position with Blunt working for a choke. Burgess manages to spin nicely into guard and the danger is over for the moment.
