PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Boyko Borisov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tita Zen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Borisov comes into the arena with AC/DC - Thunderstruck blaring out of the sound system. Tita Zen is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Boyko Borisov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Tita Zen!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Ben Zyskovitsi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Borisov dives in and scores a takedown into Zen's guard.

Zen is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Borisov's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Borisov's back!

Zen tries to get the hooks in deep but Borisov pushed the leg off.
Zen lands with a hammerfist to the side of Borisov's head.
Even with his hooks in, Zen manages to miss with strikes from the back.
Borisov wants to escape the position.
Borisov breaks Zen's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

Borisov seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Zen has momentary wrist control but Borisov slips an elbow through the middle.

Borisov has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Borisov loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Zen wants to stand but Borisov is controlling the position.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Zen looks to land a right hand but Borisov moved out of range.
Zen lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Zen tried to score with a low kick but Borisov checks it.
Borisov dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Borisov throws a right hand that Zen ducks under and follows up with a left that Zen also avoids with ease.
Zen misses with a kick to the body.
Borisov lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Zen slips a jab from Borisov.
Borisov doesn't manage to clinch there - Zen circles away.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Borisov works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

Borisov throws a body punch but Zen moves out of range.
Borisov looks to land a combination but Zen avoids it well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Borisov tries to pull guard but Zen holds him up against the cage and eventually Borisov drops back down to his feet.

Borisov takes a shot to the head.
A short right from Zen.
Zen misses with a punch to the body.
Borisov tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Zen smiles and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Boyko Borisov. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Whack! Zen lands a heavy head kick that drops Borisov. The ref tackles Zen to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Borisov was done.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). Tita Zen!
A relieved looking Tita Zen thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
