Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Michal Kucharski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Yoan Gonzalez!
The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Paulo Santos and Luis Engracia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gonzalez fails with an attempt to clinch.
Kucharski tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Gonzalez swivels and escapes.
Gonzalez tries to clinch but Kucharski is having none of it.
Michal Kucharski seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kucharski dives in and grabs Gonzalez's left leg, looking for a takedown. Gonzalez pushes down on Kucharski's head and hops out.
Kucharski shoots in for a takedown but Gonzalez shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Kucharski feints and as Gonzalez raises his hands in defense, Kucharski changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kucharski sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Gonzalez's guard.

Kucharski is looking for a kimura but Gonzalez is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Kucharski to get the leverage.

Kucharski looks up at the clock and then as Gonzalez takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Kucharski smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Kucharski has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Kucharski throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Gonzalez has his hands clasped together but Kucharski breaks the hold and Gonzalez is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Kucharski!
