Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Eric Eel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Crack Hack!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, John Mangel and Bruno Hogan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hack lands a head kick. Eel smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Eel lands with a kick to the temple. Hack shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Hack throws a sloppy head kick and Eel moves out of range easily.
Hack lands a nice hook to Eel's body. Eel takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Eel clinches with his opponent.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Hack.
Hack managing to block the knees to the body from Eel.
Eel breaks from the clinch.
Hack lands a body shot.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Eel tries to score a power double leg takedown but Hack sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Eel somewhat.
Hack lands a nice looking kick to the body. Eel takes a step back to recover.
Eel keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Eel's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Hack connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Eel scrambles back to his feet.
A solid leg kick lands there for Hack.
Eel shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Hack's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Hack throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Hack is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Hack striking off his back but it's not causing Eel any problems.
Hack doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Eel trying to control but Hack is working from the bottom.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Hack looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Eel wants to stand and escape but instead Hack has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Hack distracts Eel with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Hack forces his way into half guard.
Eel is trying to get back to full guard.
Hack winds up and cracks Eel with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Eel is looking for a sweep. Hack is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Hack not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Hack is looking to take a break and control but Eel is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Hack throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Hack tries to stand and escape but Eel is controlling the position.
Hack is taking a breather. Eel says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Hack winds up and cracks Eel with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Hack thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Eel's head.
Hack scoring with strikes to the body and head.
Eel wants to get back to full guard.
Eel has a hand on Hack's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Hack takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
Eel is trying to escape the mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Eel wants to control but Hack is having none of it.
Eel really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hack lands a big shot there that rocks Eel but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Hack with the ground and pound from mount.
Eel tries to reverse the position but Hack maintains control.
Hack putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
Hack looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Hack cracks Eel with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Eel on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Eel tries to get out of the position.
Hack landing strikes from the mount.
Eel is rocked!

Oh Eel is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Hack cracks Eel with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
