Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Karl Hungus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jay Wilkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hungus comes to the cage accompanied by Marilyn Manson - Sweet Dreams. Wilkins has chosen DMX - Ain't no sunshine as his entrance music. Jay Wilkins told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Karl Hungus!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jay Wilkins!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Shigeki Fujiwara and Yukihiro Shimada.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wilkins shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Hungus eats them both and turns towards Wilkins to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Wilkins moves into the clinch.
Hungus lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Wilkins looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Wilkins gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Wilkins thows a huge punch but Hungus dodges it nicely.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

In his post fight interview, Jay Wilkins started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
