Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jake Shields (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Igor Wietrzny (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wietrzny has chosen Hunter-Fallen as his entrance music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Igor Wietrzny was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Shields takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Wietrzny uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Shields has time to react.

Wietrzny tries to bum rush Shields with a series of wild strikes but Shields uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Wietrzny doesn't manage to clinch there - Shields circles away.
Wietrzny thuds a left hand into Shields's body.
Wietrzny ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Shields moves away.
Wietrzny lunges at Shields with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Shields's hand.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Wietrzny throws a series of punches but Shields avoids them all with ease.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Wietrzny shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Shields manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Shields has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Wietrzny should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Shields has tightened it up now! Wietrzny should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
