Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Hanz Stokenhizer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frito Lei (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stokenhizer comes into the arena with The Lucky Bullets "Cross the Line" blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 22 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Hanz Stokenhizer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 59 - 2, fighting out of Los Angeles, Frito Lei!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lei moves into range and clinches up with Stokenhizer.

and Stokenhizer counters with a nice uppercut.
Lei throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Stokenhizer slips a jab and a cross from Lei.

Lei clinches with his opponent.

Stokenhizer manages to pull guard.
Lei wants to stand but Stokenhizer is controlling his posture from full guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Hanz Stokenhizer will probably get the nod.

Frito Lei showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Stokenhizer remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
