The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Phillips shoots for a takedown but Equinox saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Equinox moves out of range as Phillips strikes.
A lazy left from Phillips finds it's target.
Phillips throws a good cross that connects.
Phillips tries to land a leg kick but Equinox saw it coming and moves away.
Equinox is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Phillips connects with a looping right hand.
Equinox tries to close the distance and clinch up but Phillips swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Ian Phillips seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
