The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grant looks to land a right hand but Takahashi moved out of range.
Grant throws a right and a left that both miss.

Grant tries to keep at a distance but Takahashi has taken the fight into the clinch.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Takahashi tries to pull guard but Grant holds him up against the cage and eventually Takahashi drops back down to his feet.
Takahashi throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Grant blocks it with crossed arms.

Grant's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Takahashi misses the shot to the body.
Grant misses with the combination.
Grant cracks a nice hook into Takahashi's ribs.

Grant throws a series of punches but Takahashi avoids them all with ease.

Takahashi shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Grant but Grant pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Ulysses Grant seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Grant throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Takahashi.

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Grant.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Grant lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Takahashi has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Takahashi and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Grant lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Grant takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Takahashi lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Grant backs up against the cage.
Takahashi ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Grant moves away.
Takahashi takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Takahashi takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Grant throws a series of punches but Takahashi avoids them all with ease.

Grant tries to land a front kick but Takahashi steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Takahashi connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Grant's hands.
Grant has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

Takahashi connects with a jab, followed by a picture perfect straight right that sends Grant to the canvas, out cold! What a finish by Takahashi!
