Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ole Solseng (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matthew Five Sixteen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Solseng's entrance music is Iron Horse - Hero of the Day. A fine choice. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ole Solseng!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Matthew Five Sixteen!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Steve Erwin and Winston Howard.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Five Sixteen shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Solseng's guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Five Sixteen drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Five Sixteen jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Five Sixteen trying to control the position from guard on top but Solseng is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Solseng wants to get back to his feet but Five Sixteen is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Five Sixteen wants to control from the top but Solseng keeps moving.

Five Sixteen is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Five Sixteen slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Solseng bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Five Sixteen's guard.
Five Sixteen wants to improve his position but instead Solseng has moved into half guard.
Five Sixteen is looking to improve his position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Five Sixteen is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Solseng trying to mount his opponent but Five Sixteen defends it.
Five Sixteen wants to get back to full guard.
Solseng perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Five Sixteen tries to roll over but Solseng keeps him under control.
Five Sixteen trying to control here.
Five Sixteen is looking for a sweep. Solseng is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Solseng thuds his right hand into Five Sixteen's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Five Sixteen shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Solseng pinned against the cage. Solseng gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Solseng misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Five Sixteen.
Five Sixteen shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Solseng but Solseng pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Solseng lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Solseng misses with a low kick.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
A good leg kick by Solseng.
Five Sixteen moves out of range of the leg kick from Solseng.
Five Sixteen throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Solseng's waist but Solseng gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Five Sixteen off to one side.
Ole Solseng has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Matthew Five Sixteen.
Five Sixteen has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Solseng finds it's way round the side to connect with Five Sixteen's head.
Solseng attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Solseng throws a jab but it's blocked by Five Sixteen.
Five Sixteen throws an ugly left hook that misses
enabling Solseng to counter with a crisp jab.
Five Sixteen takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Five Sixteen looks winded!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
A nice inside leg kick there by Solseng. That's going to slow Five Sixteen down.
Five Sixteen stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Solseng.
Solseng bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Five Sixteen's head backwards.
Five Sixteen dives in and grabs Solseng's left leg, looking for a takedown. Solseng pushes down on Five Sixteen's head and hops out.
Solseng lands with a good body shot.
Solseng misses the shot to the body.
Five Sixteen takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.


Five Sixteen is rocked!
Solseng knocks out Five Sixteen with a massive right hand! The ref tackles Solseng before he can follow up with any more strikes and that's it everyone. Solseng picks up the big W with a huge KO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Ole Solseng!
Our winner, Ole Solseng, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
