The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Romita thows a left - swing and a miss!

and Romita counters with a stiff right hand.

Romita throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Matice's waist but Matice gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Romita off to one side.

Matice has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Romita is working away from the top position though.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Romita shoots in and bounces Matice off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
