Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kazushi Sakuraba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robbie McStar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sakuraba comes to the cage accompanied by Lose yourself. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Robbie McStar!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Bruno Hogan and Steve Erwin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McStar misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

This has been an exciting period of action!
McStar dives in and grabs Sakuraba's left leg, looking for a takedown. Sakuraba pushes down on McStar's head and hops out.

McStar changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Sakuraba looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
McStar is chipping away with strikes.

McStar is trying to ground and pound but Sakuraba uses the momentary lack of control by McStar to regain half guard.

McStar tries to free his leg and advance position but Sakuraba is retaining full guard.
McStar has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

McStar postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Sakuraba is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of McStar, into his guard.
McStar is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Sakuraba stays in close to McStar's body and controls the position.
McStar looking for a sweep. Not yet McStar, not yet.
Sakuraba is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Sakuraba has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
McStar looking to hit a scissor sweep but Sakuraba is one step ahead there.

That was a close second round but I would say that Kazushi Sakuraba will probably get the nod.

Sakuraba stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Sakuraba wants it to stay on the feet.

McStar shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Sakuraba manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
McStar throws a strike but Sakuraba rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

McStar wants to stand and escape but Sakuraba is having none of it.
