The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vivec shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Nikiel as he avoids it easily.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Nikiel misses with a series of wild punches.
Vivec shoots in but no luck this time.
Vivec fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Mariusz Nikiel has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lord Vivec.
Nikiel throws a wild body kick that Vivec sees coming a mile off.
Vivec shoots in for a takedown but Nikiel shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Vivec ducks under a wild hook from Nikiel.
Nikiel bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Vivec's head.

Nikiel does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Vivec looks for a takedown but Nikiel sprawls well.
Nikiel throws a series of punches but Vivec avoids them all with ease.
Vivec takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

It looks like Lord Vivec has been cut.

Nikiel throws a head kick but Vivec moves out of range.
Vivec is trying desperately to land a takedown but Nikiel is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Vivec.
Sloppy strikes from Nikiel. Those never looked like landing.

Vivec is aggressively charging in as Nikiel backs up avoiding any damage. Nikiel tosses out a jab and Vivec runs right into it face first! Vivec is out cold! Nikiel dropped down on all fours and is barking in Vivec's face like a pit bull in celebration until the ref was finally able to pull him away!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:16 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Mariusz Nikiel!
Mariusz Nikiel got down on his knees post fight and begged the management for a title shot. 'Please, I want that title shot so bad! Give it to me!'
