Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Damian Nitschke!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Keiji Numa!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Numa ducks under a wild hook from Nitschke.

Numa keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Numa dives in and grabs Nitschke's left leg, looking for a takedown. Nitschke pushes down on Numa's head and hops out.

Nitschke changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Numa tries to avoid it but Nitschke manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Numa to the ground. Numa escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Numa fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Damian Nitschke has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Keiji Numa.

Nitschke misses with a hook to the ribs.

Numa pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Nitschke tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Numa manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Numa shoots in looking for a takedown. Nitschke tries to sprawl out of it but Numa keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Nitschke manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Numa pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Numa misses with a takedown attempt - Nitschke sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
No joy there for Numa, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Numa lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Nitschke misses with a body shot.
Nitschke avoids the head kick by Numa.
Numa tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Numa shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Numa shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Nitschke sprawls well. Nitschke wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Numa gets slowly back to his feet.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Numa changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Nitschke tries to avoid it but Numa manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Nitschke to the ground. Nitschke escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Nitschke cracks Numa with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
A big left from Nitschke misses.
Nitschke throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Numa sees it coming and avoids it easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Numa misses with a head kick.
Numa defending well as Nitschke loads up on a big left hand.

Nitschke drops his shoulder and cracks Numa with a huge uppercut! Numa goes down! Can Nitschke finish him?


Numa is rocked!


It looks like Keiji Numa has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Numa is still in real trouble! Can Nitschke finish him?
Nitschke loads up on a big left hand. Numa felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Nitschke looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Numa can't hide his disappointment, as Nitschke celebrates the victory.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Damian Nitschke!
Damian Nitschke made sure to give a little speech post fight, saying 'Thanks to everyone that supported me when I was going through rough times. I'm back, baby!'.
