And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Vladimir Khabensky and Valeri Chadov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rene Roussimoff drives through and clinches with John against the cage.
John is looking to take this one to the mat.
Rene Roussimoff gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Rene Roussimoff throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as John works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Rene Roussimoff's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Rene Roussimoff stands up from John's guard - Rene Roussimoff perhaps looking for a knockout.
John throws a sloppy head kick and Rene Roussimoff moves out of range easily.
John throws a body kick that misses
and Rene Roussimoff counters with a left and a right that stings John.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
John misses with a few strikes there.
John misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Rene Roussimoff.
John goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
It looks like Andre Rene Roussimoff has been cut.
Rene Roussimoff will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
John misses with a right hand
and Rene Roussimoff counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Rene Roussimoff feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to John's calf.
John is breathing heavily.
John throws a poor cross that misses
and Rene Roussimoff counters with a three punch combo that has John backing up. John nods at Rene Roussimoff to acknowledge the strikes.
Rene Roussimoff throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Rene Roussimoff rushes John with punches - John moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, John goes down! Rene Roussimoff follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Andre Rene Roussimoff!
In his post fight interview, Andre Rene Roussimoff started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
