The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Folsom misses with a low kick.

Eklund walks forward, straight into a front kick from Folsom.
Folsom bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Folsom tries to clinch there but Eklund circles away.
Eklund lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Eklund.
Folsom will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

and Eklund counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Eklund throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Folsom stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Folsom throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Eklund.

Folsom is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Eklund fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Folsom manages to avoid it.

Eklund's corner calls for a 1-2. Eklund obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Folsom scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Eklund gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Folsom.
Eklund moves into range and throws a big uppercut. OH! Folsom goes down! Can Eklund finish him!?

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Eklund lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Folsom is trying to get back to full guard.
Eklund is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Eklund is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Folsom is hurt! He's hurt bad - Eklund fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Folsom from any more punishment! Congratulations to Eklund! Great finish!
