The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Hai fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Putin manages to avoid it.
Hai shoots in looking for a takedown. Putin tries to sprawl out of it but Hai keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Putin manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Putin stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Putin shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Hai eats them both and turns towards Putin to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Hai closes the distance and clinches up with Putin, looking for a takedown. Hai pushes Putin against the cage but Putin circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
