Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Clayton Curry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Take Down (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Clayton Curry!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Take Down!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, John Roberts and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Down feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Curry scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Curry shoots in and drives through. Down sprawls well.

Down scores with a takedown into Curry's guard.
Curry looking for a sweep. Not yet Curry, not yet.
Down wants to get up but he can't break Curry's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Curry looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Curry trying to keep a closed guard but Down is proving a slippery customer.
Down is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Curry fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Curry fails to land with a series of punches.
Curry keeps the fight on the outside.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Curry dips to his left and cracks Down with an uppercut!
A nice inside leg kick there by Curry. That's going to slow Down down.
Curry will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Down drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Down looking to pass the guard.
Down postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Curry has a closed guard, preventing Down from standing up.
Curry manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Down should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Curry looking to control but Down is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Down really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Down wants to control but Curry is having none of it.
Curry can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Down is looking to escape.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Down can do anything to dispel that myth.
Down wants to hold on but Curry pushes him away.
Down tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Curry looking to control but Down is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Curry is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Down is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Down working to try and regain half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Down is trying to stand.
Down tries to lock up and control but Curry gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Curry controlling the position easily from mount.
Down is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Curry wants to control the pace but Down is squirming around nicely.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Down is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Down is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Down is squirming around, avoiding Curry's attempts to control the action.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Curry controlling from the full mount.
Down is trying desperately to improve position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Take Down will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Curry shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Down sprawls well. Down wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Curry gets slowly back to his feet.
Curry throws a leg kick but Down sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Nice sprawl there from Down as Curry shoots in.
Curry throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Nice takedown defense from Down. No joy for Curry on that attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Clayton Curry. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Down misses with a wild combination.
Curry looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Down fails with an attempt to clinch.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Curry rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Down moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Down checks a leg kick.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Down shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Down was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Down landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.

Down decides to stand back up. Down steps back and let's Curry get back to his feet.
Down slips a jab and a cross from Curry.
Down just misses with a punch to the body.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Curry enables Down to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Curry manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Curry has momentary wrist control but Down slips an elbow through the middle.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Down working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Curry's head.
Down with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Down loads up on a big left hand. Curry felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Down looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Curry can't hide his disappointment, as Down celebrates the victory.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Take Down!
