Xavier comes into the arena with Jane's Addiction- Mountain Song blaring out of the sound system. Barksdale has chosen Three Six Mafia - Its A Fight as his entrance music. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Barksdale, as that shot connected.

Xavier drops his hands momentarily and Barksdale takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Xavier sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Xavier shoots for a double leg takedown but Barksdale sprawls well. He's pushed Xavier's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Barksdale is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Xavier had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
