Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Maverick Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Austin Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones comes into the arena with Little Secrets - Passion Pit blaring out of the sound system. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones tries to clinch there but Anderson circles away.

Anderson throws an elbow that misses. Jones uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Anderson's guard. Nice move by Jones!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jones sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Anderson's guard.

Jones is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Anderson keeping hold of Jones's head, controlling as best he can.
The fighters are battling for position here. Anderson manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Jones is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Anderson is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Jones is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Anderson is just riding it out for now. Jones eventually gives up the hold.

Jones wants to lay and pray for a moment but Anderson keeps working.

Jones is keen to just control but Anderson is a slippery customer.
Anderson regains full guard. Nicely done.

Jones tries to free his leg and advance position but Anderson is retaining full guard.

Anderson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jones. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
It looks like Jones is going to stand back up.

That was a close round but I would say that Maverick Jones will probably get the nod.

Anderson ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Jones moves away.
Jones takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Jones is rocked!
Anderson is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Jones flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Jones is out cold! Anderson holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
