The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bertane Jr drives through with a takedown into Dokata's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Bertane Jr stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dokata swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Bertane Jr chips away with some ground and pound.

Bertane Jr is looking to work some ground and pound but Dokata has wrist control.
Bertane Jr drops back, looking for a kneebar! Dokata looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Dokata looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Dokata!
Bertane Jr knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Dokata on the ground.
Dokata is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Bertane Jr looks calm but he's in trouble here. Dokata gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Bertane Jr is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Dokata lets go of the hold and Bertane Jr can pop his arm back in it's socket.
