Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Katsuro Sato (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dryden Mitchell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Katsuro Sato!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 30 - 11 - 1, fighting out of New York, Dryden Mitchell!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Richard Clark and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good exchange - Mitchell coming out on top.
Mitchell misses with a kick to the body.
Sato throws out a leg kick but Mitchell moves out of range and Sato only half commits.
Dryden Mitchell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mitchell takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Sato shoots in looking for a takedown but Mitchell manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Sato's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Mitchell moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Mitchell on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Mitchell lands with a nice combination. Sato backs away looking to recover.
Horrible takedown by Sato or perhaps it was just good defense by Mitchell which made him look bad.

Mitchell ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Sato moves away.
Sato throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Mitchell misses with a low kick as Sato jumps back.
Mitchell has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Mitchell there as he acknowledges the shot.
Mitchell slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Mitchell turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Sato looks to land a left hand but Mitchell moved out of range nicely.
Mitchell connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Mitchell throws a leg kick but Sato moved away.
Sato throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Mitchell, right into the meat.

A punch lands to the side of Mitchell 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Sato shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Mitchell sprawls well. Mitchell wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Sato gets slowly back to his feet.
Sato cracks Mitchell with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Sato misses with a kick to the body.
Sato ducks under a wild hook from Mitchell.
Mitchell moves out of range as Sato throws a body kick.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Sato throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Mitchell sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Mitchell jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Sato shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Mitchell as he jumps to the side.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dryden Mitchell dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Mitchell walks into a stiff left hand from Sato.
Sato swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Mitchell scores with a nice head shot.

Sato shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Mitchell pinned against the cage. Mitchell gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Sato throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Mitchell takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Mitchell goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Sato is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Mitchell connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Sato. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Sato throws a shot from downtown. Mitchell moves away and avoids it.
Mitchell scores with a head kick. Sato tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Sato uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Mitchell.
Nice sprawl there from Mitchell as Sato shoots in.

Sato will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Mitchell lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Sato has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Sato and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Sato takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Sato looks to land a right hand but Mitchell moved out of range.
Sato throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Mitchell on the side of the head.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Sato shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Mitchell pinned against the cage. Mitchell gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Dryden Mitchell showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!


Sato throws a leg kick that is checked
and Mitchell cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Sato looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Mitchell!
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Mitchell wants to control but Sato postures up.

Sato goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Mitchell rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Sato's guard! Nice work there by Mitchell!

Sato has an active guard here but Mitchell has managed to pass into half guard.
Mitchell wants to stand up but Sato is controlling the position.
Mitchell controlling the action here.

Sato makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Sato.

Sato looking for a guillotine here but Mitchell defends easily.

Sato wants to sweep here but Mitchell controlling him for the moment.

Sato working for submissions but it's allowed Mitchell to get to half guard.
Sato is refusing to be controlled, as Mitchell sits in half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Katsuro Sato has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Mitchell got a little sloppy there for a moment and Sato has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Mitchell has managed to get both his arms back between Sato's legs - danger averted.
Sato looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Sato manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Sato throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Mitchell because Sato loaded up on that one.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Sato postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Mitchell looks a forlorn figure.

I think Mitchell has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
