The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kasparaitis throws a head kick that misses.
Carlsson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Carlsson drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Carlsson clinches up with Kasparaitis and pushes him back against the cage.

Carlsson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Kasparaitis thows a body shot but no joy.
Kasparaitis throws a head kick that misses.

Carlsson closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Kasparaitis's guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Carlsson controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Kasparaitis trying to keep a closed guard but Carlsson is proving a slippery customer.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Michael Carlsson wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Kasparaitis lands a head kick. Carlsson smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Carlsson in particular looking to stall.
Carlsson's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Kasparaitis drops Carlsson with a straight right hand, right on the button! Kasparaitis follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
