Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Edward Elric (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Hanlon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Elric comes to the cage accompanied by Lil Wayne - Rolling In The Deep (Sorry 4 The Wait). Hanlon is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Ash - Arcadia. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Chris Edwards and Sam Margolis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hanlon shoots in but Elric avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Elric drops Hanlon with a beautiful combination! Hanlon stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Elric is looking for the KO!

It looks like Mark Hanlon has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Elric drops Hanlon with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Hanlon looks back up at him and smiles so Elric waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Mark Hanlon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Elric thows a body shot but no joy.
Hanlon shoots in but Elric avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Hanlon takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hanlon throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Elric tries to keep at a distance but Hanlon has taken the fight into the clinch.
Hanlon avoids a wild elbow strike from Elric.
Hanlon has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Elric after a bit of a struggle.
Edward Elric has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mark Hanlon.
Elric tries to land a knee to the head but Hanlon blocks with his arms.

Hanlon dodges an elbow strike from Elric.
Elric lands a right hand that snaps the head of Hanlon backwards.

That has opened up Mark Hanlon's cut even more.
The referee calls for Elric to work.

Elric tries to break free but Hanlon pushes him back against the cage.
Hanlon fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Elric manages to break the clinch.
Hanlon with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Elric to score with a decent uppercut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hanlon takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

The cut above Mark Hanlon's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Hanlon throws a looping overhand right but Elric ducks down to avoid it.
Hanlon looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Hanlon dives in and grabs Elric's left leg, looking for a takedown. Elric pushes down on Hanlon's head and hops out.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hanlon thows a left - swing and a miss!
Hanlon uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Elric.

Elric feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Hanlon sprawling to the canvas! Hanlon rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Elric finish him?!

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Mark Hanlon's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Edward Elric!
