Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between David Luiz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ari Birmiski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Birmiski has chosen I'm Back - T.I as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, David Luiz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ari Birmiski!
The judges for this bout are , Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Birmiski plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

Birmiski tries to close the distance and clinch but Luiz swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Luiz breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

and Luiz counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Birmiski has his foot on Luiz's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Luiz works his way back into a safe position though.
