Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bryce Niles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Slurms Mckenzie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Slurms Mckenzie will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bryce Niles!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Slurms Mckenzie!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Patrick Alders and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Mckenzie.
Niles shoots for a double leg takedown but Mckenzie sprawls well. He's pushed Niles's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
A lazy left from Mckenzie finds it's target.

Niles gets a takedown into half guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Mckenzie is controlling Niles's trapped leg to prevent Niles from advancing to side control.
Niles thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Mckenzie's head.
Mckenzie is looking to improve his position.

Niles is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Mckenzie wants to get back to full guard.
Mckenzie is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Niles connects with a nice short shot to Mckenzie's temple.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Mckenzie is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Niles lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Mckenzie wants to get back to full guard.

Niles is working for a kimura but Mckenzie is defending it quite comfortably.

Niles is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Mckenzie sees it coming and defends easily.

Mckenzie is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Mckenzie can do anything to dispel that myth.
Niles slips nicely into half guard.
Mckenzie makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Mckenzie.
Niles might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Mckenzie really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Niles. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Niles won't allow Mckenzie to sweep him here.

Niles is working Mckenzie over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Niles is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Mckenzie looking for a sweep. Not yet Mckenzie, not yet.

Niles is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Mckenzie is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Mckenzie has escaped and now he's on top!

Mckenzie wants to get up but he can't break Niles's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Niles has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Mckenzie can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Niles is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Mckenzie defends well.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Niles had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Mckenzie defends it easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mckenzie wants to stand but Niles is controlling his posture from full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bryce Niles dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Niles takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Niles sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Mckenzie lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Niles backs up against the cage.
Niles avoids the head kick by Mckenzie.

Niles fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Mckenzie to the ground. Niles is now in Mckenzie's guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Mckenzie seems keen to control Niles's posture.
Niles has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Mckenzie pulls Niles in close to his closed guard and prevents Niles from doing any damage or advancing position.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Niles has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Mckenzie.
Niles on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Mckenzie lands a nice hook to Niles's body. Niles takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Slurms Mckenzie is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Mckenzie lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Mckenzie pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Niles back to the cage. Mckenzie follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Mckenzie moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Mckenzie goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Niles is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

Niles steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Mckenzie. That one must have hurt.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Niles crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Mckenzie - the referee stops the clock and Niles gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Mckenzie. Niles manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Niles chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Mckenzie can pounce on him.

Niles takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Mckenzie buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Niles will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body.

That kick from Mckenzie tenderised Niles's leg. Niles is trying to keep his angry face on.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Mckenzie connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Niles takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Mckenzie has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Niles takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
A slapping leg kick lands for Mckenzie.
Mckenzie is looking to slow Niles down with leg kicks.
Niles has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Mckenzie.
Mckenzie lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Mckenzie connects with a leg kick. Niles looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Mckenzie catches Niles with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Mckenzie feints and then cracks Niles's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Niles down.

Mckenzie lands a leg kick that knocks Niles off balance momentarily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Slurms Mckenzie showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Niles's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Both fighters circling slowly here as the pace drops. Hopefully one of them does someth.. OOOHHHH!!!! Mckenzie throws an absolute beast of a head kick! Niles is done! He's out cold, twisted and contorted up against the cage! Wow!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:37 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Slurms Mckenzie!
During a confident post fight interview, Slurms Mckenzie thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
