Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jonathan Bond (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Miguel Rojo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rojo has chosen You're Going Down as his entrance music. Miguel Rojo has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jonathan Bond!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Miguel Rojo!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Yves DeLean and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rojo throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Bond.
Bond tries to clinch but Rojo moves out of range.
Rojo throws a nice looking combination but Bond bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Rojo leaves Bond with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Rojo swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Bond misses with a takedown attempt - Rojo sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Rojo tries to bum rush Bond with a series of wild strikes but Bond uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Bond could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Rojo showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Bond.
Rojo fails to land with a series of punches.
Rojo lands with a kick to the temple. Bond shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"


It looks like Jonathan Bond has been cut.
Bond avoids the head kick by Rojo.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Bond fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jonathan Bond. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Rojo goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Rojo pulls out of a head kick attempt.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sloppy strikes from Rojo. Those never looked like landing.
Jonathan Bond seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A right-left combo lands from Rojo.
Rojo misses with a head kick.
A head kick misses from Rojo.
Bond misses with the combination.

Bond shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Rojo's guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Rojo is looking to stand up but Bond isn't so interested in that idea.
Bond trying to control but Rojo is working from the bottom.
This has been an exciting period of action!

That's two minutes gone in the round.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Jonathan Bond just wasn't active enough.

Rojo connects with a vicious head kick that knocks Bond to the floor! Rojo dives in looking for the finish!


Bond is rocked!
Rojo with the ground and pound but Bond uses the opportunity to regain guard.
Bond controlling Rojo's posture.
Rojo throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Bond pushes Rojo off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Bond shoots in for a takedown but Rojo shows good takedown defense.
Miguel Rojo is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Rojo misses with a series of wild punches.

Bond manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Rojo on his heels. He'll look to pass Rojo's guard now, I'm sure.
Bond's corner is telling him to maintain position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Rojo looking for a sweep. Not yet Rojo, not yet.
Bond trying to control the position from guard on top but Rojo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Rojo wants to stand and escape but Bond is having none of it.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Bond stands up and waves to Rojo to follow him.
Rojo throws a series of strikes that have Bond backpedaling.


Jonathan Bond's cut is getting worse.
Rojo throws a sloppy head kick and Bond moves out of range easily.
Rojo misses with a body kick.
Bond takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Rojo scores to the head and body with a nice combination!

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Rojo lands a head kick that stumbles Bond and the fighters go to the mat.
Oh Bond is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Rojo accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Rojo's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bond is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Bond seems to have got his legs back now.
Rojo wants to control from the top but Bond keeps moving.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Rojo accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Bond looking for a guillotine here but Rojo defends easily.
Rojo postures up in Bond's guard and throws a big left but Bond blocks it.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Rojo content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Miguel Rojo dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Jonathan Bond's cut.
That's time! Back to the action!


Bond sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Rojo steps into range and cracks Bond with a monster punch that buckles his knees! Bond flops backwards and Rojo dives into his guard looking to finish!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Rojo arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Bond's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:27 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Miguel Rojo!
A victorious Miguel Rojo thanked his army of followers in his post fight interview, telling people to make sure they follow him on Twitter.
