Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Raekwon The Chef (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimmy Jacobs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The Chef comes to the cage accompanied by C.R.E.A.M. - Wu Tang Clan. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Raekwon The Chef!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jimmy Jacobs!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, William Peck and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jacobs clinches up with The Chef and pushes him back against the cage.
Jacobs can't get the takedown.
The Chef tries to work over Jacobs's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Jacobs tightens his grip and picks The Chef up, before dumping him to the ground. The Chef manages to land in guard.
Jacobs won't allow The Chef to sweep him here.
Jacobs throws a strike but The Chef rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Jacobs wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The Chef keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Jacobs's head.
The Chef has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Jacobs being controlled here, momentarily.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Sloppy strikes from The Chef. Those never looked like landing.
The Chef fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Jacobs manages to avoid it.

Jacobs rushes The Chef and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Jacobs manages to pull guard.
The Chef postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
The Chef passes Jacobs's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Jacobs wants to get back to full guard.
Jacobs is looking to control The Chef's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Jacobs avoid being mounted?
The Chef with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Jacobs is looking to improve his position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The Chef seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Jacobs does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
The Chef working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Jacobs has a hand on The Chef's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. The Chef takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!

Jacobs is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
The Chef trying to control but he's not successful this time.

Jacobs wants to control but The Chef is having none of it.
The Chef lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Jacobs hang on?
Jacobs is squirming around, avoiding The Chef's attempts to control the action.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, The Chef cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
The Chef tries to control but Jacobs wriggling away.
Jacobs tries to hold on but The Chef pushes him away.
Jacobs is working to get back to half guard.
Jacobs is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Jacobs avoids a series of strikes thrown by The Chef.
Jacobs is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Jacobs is squirming around, avoiding The Chef's attempts to control the action.
The Chef cracks Jacobs with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.


Jacobs is rocked!
The Chef lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Jacobs is still in real trouble! Can The Chef finish him?
The Chef sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
The Chef raining down hammerfists from mount.
Jacobs slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Jacobs is trying to get back to full guard.

The Chef is working for a submission of some sort.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Raekwon The Chef dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


The Chef keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Jacobs avoids a low kick by using good footwork.

Jacobs moves into the clinch successfully.
The Chef swings away with an uppercut that misses.
The Chef pushes Jacobs back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
The Chef lands a nice uppercut.
Jacobs jumps guard but The Chef stands there with Jacobs around his waist. Jacobs gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Jacobs is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables The Chef to keep the fight standing.
Jacobs can't get the takedown.
Raekwon The Chef has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jimmy Jacobs.
The Chef prevents the takedown attempt.
The Chef lands with a light punch inside.
The Chef lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Jacobs to his knees! The Chef keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:37 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Raekwon The Chef!
Raekwon The Chef retains his lightweight title!
Raekwon The Chef really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Sydney BEAST Clothing logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
