PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Vince Daniel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cam Lawson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Vince Daniel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Cam Lawson!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Skip Squint and Donatello Bradman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lawson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Lawson won't allow Daniel to get back to his feet.

Daniel fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Lawson on the side of the head.
Daniel bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

OK we're going to have a standup here. Cam Lawson hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Cam Lawson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! And we move into the final round!


Lawson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Daniel as he jumps to the side.
Daniel looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Daniel misses with a hook. Lawson ducked under it nicely.

Lawson is rocked!
Lawson dives in and grabs Daniel's left leg, looking for a takedown. Daniel pushes down on Lawson's head and hops out.
Lawson is still on wobbly legs! Can Daniel finish him?
Daniel pounces like a tiger and cracks Lawson with a vicious hook! Lawson is down but not out! Daniel follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:57 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Vince Daniel!
After the fight, Vince Daniel was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
