The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Monsoon lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Monsoon comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Monsoon scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Jackson moves to clinch but Monsoon breaks away
letting Monsoon counter with a right hand.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Jackson throws a hook to the side of Monsoon's head but Monsoon sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Monsoon displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Jackson.
Jackson takes a swing at Monsoon's ribcage but misses.
Monsoon throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Monsoon's corner calls for a 1-2. Monsoon obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Jackson takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Monsoon fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
A punch lands to the side of Jackson 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Monsoon changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jackson tries to avoid it but Monsoon manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jackson to the ground. Jackson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

A head kick misses from Jackson.

Monsoon throws a nice inside leg kick.
Monsoon tries to work over Jackson's front leg with a kick but Jackson checks it.
Jackson blocks the body kick.
The fighters circle momentarily. Monsoon darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

It looks like Frederick Jackson has been cut.
Monsoon catches Jackson with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Monsoon throws out a leg kick but Jackson moves out of range and Monsoon only half commits.

Monsoon cracks Jackson with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Monsoon lands a jab to Jackson's midsection.
Monsoon scores with a sloppy right hand. Jackson should have avoided that one.
Jackson uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Monsoon.
Monsoon throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Jackson on the side of the head.
Monsoon lands a slapping body shot.
Jackson takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Monsoon scores with a one two! Jackson had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Monsoon slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Monsoon walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Jackson drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Monsoon swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Jackson's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
