The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hathaway lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Gracie circles away quickly and effectively.
Hathaway looks to land a combination but Gracie avoids it well.
Gracie takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Hathaway connects with a single shot there.
Gracie looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Hathaway closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Hathaway looks to score with a jab to the body but Gracie is just out of range.
Hathaway moves out of range of the body kick.
Gracie throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Gracie shoots in looking for a takedown but Hathaway manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Gracie's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Hathaway swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Gracie shoots for a takedown but Hathaway saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Daniel Hathaway has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Matt Gracie.
Gracie walks into a jab.
Daniel Hathaway seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Hathaway dodges the punch combination from Gracie.
Hathaway lets his hands go wild with a nice combination. Left! Right! Uppercut! Spinning backfist! Gracie goes down and covers up as Hathaway starts wailing on him! The ref watches the action closely before stepping in and putting a stop to the fight!
