Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack Teller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Abdoul Murquite (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Murquite has chosen Não Posso Mais as his entrance music. Abdoul Murquite has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jack Teller!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Abdoul Murquite!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Jonathan Paton and Anthony Taglia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Excellent takedown into side control there by Murquite.
Murquite is trying to ground and pound but Teller uses the momentary lack of control by Murquite to regain half guard.
Murquite landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Murquite wants to free his trapped foot but Teller is holding on for dear life with his legs.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Murquite is trying to work for a kimura but Teller is defending well.
Teller is refusing to be controlled, as Murquite sits in half guard.
Teller trying to hold on to Murquite's head to control him but Murquite postures up.

Murquite wants to pass the guard but Teller is defending well.
Murquite is trying to control the action in half guard but Teller is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Murquite trying to mount his opponent but Teller defends it.
Murquite missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Murquite lands strikes from half guard.
Teller is not content to let Murquite control the position.

Murquite looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Teller might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Murquite looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Teller with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Murquite wants to advance to full mount but Teller doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.
Teller manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Murquite manages to get himself to full guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Teller stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Murquite swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Murquite has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Murquite looking to hit a scissor sweep but Teller is one step ahead there.
Teller is fighting to break Murquite's control of his arms but Murquite is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Murquite is trying to keep Teller in close.

Teller thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Murquite is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Teller is aware though and is defending well.
Murquite is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Murquite wants to sweep here but Teller controlling him for the moment.
Teller wants to control from the top but Murquite keeps moving.
Teller is really struggling to control Murquite but he's trying to hold on to the position.

We're going to have a standup here because Jack Teller wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Murquite misses with a takedown

and Teller counters with a shoot takedown. Murquite fights it but they end up in guard.

Teller is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Murquite is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Murquite has escaped and now he's on top!

Murquite wants to take Teller's back but he can't do it this time.
Abdoul Murquite has got the better of the ground game so far.

Murquite swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Teller is now in Murquite's guard. A big mistake from Murquite there, giving up the dominant position!
Murquite manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Murquite prevents Teller from getting the reversal.

Teller tries to lock up and control but Murquite gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Murquite thows a huge punch but Teller dodges it nicely.

Murquite is trying to control the action in half guard but Teller is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Teller is staying active underneath Murquite, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Murquite is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Teller wants to improve his position but Murquite is controlling well.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Murquite is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Abdoul Murquite showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Murquite fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Teller avoids it really well and circles away.

Murquite shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Teller is trying to defend but Murquite finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Teller is looking for a sweep. Murquite is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Murquite seems to be working for a kimura but Teller defends the submission attempt.
Murquite works his foot free and advances to mount.
Murquite with the ground and pound from mount.
Murquite lands with some strikes.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Teller defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Murquite.
Murquite has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Oooooh, big shot lands for Murquite! Teller is hurt baaadly! Murquite is firing away with more strikes - Teller is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
