PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Savo Tieros (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Craig Clendennon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tieros kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is All Over You-Live. Clendennon has chosen LoFidelity Allstars - Battleflag as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tieros throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Tieros throws a sloppy head kick and Clendennon moves out of range easily.
Tieros misses with a few strikes there.
Clendennon throws a solid leg kick but Tieros takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Clendennon.
Savo Tieros seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The fight moves into the clinch position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Clendennon creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.

Tieros stalks Clendennon and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Clendennon's face. Clendennon staggers backwards, shaken.
That kick from Clendennon tenderised Tieros's leg. Tieros is trying to keep his angry face on.
Clendennon fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Tieros has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Tieros misses with a straight left.
Tieros drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round!

Tieros goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Clendennon has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Tieros but great work by Clendennon.

Clendennon feints a jab promting Tieros to slip. Clendennon then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Tieros slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Tieros feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
