The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Utu cracks Sweeney with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
It looks like Declan Sweeney has been cut.
Utu tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Utu avoids the body shot from Sweeney.
Sweeney scores with a head kick.
It looks like Rau Utu has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Sweeney misses with a lunging right hand
and Utu counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Utu looks to score with a jab to the body but Sweeney is just out of range.
Jab, jab by Sweeney - just one landing.
Utu has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Utu there as he acknowledges the shot.
Sweeney lands a big right hand that sends Utu crashing to the mat! Sweeney stays standing though and waves Utu back to his feet!
Utu misses with a leg kick.
Sweeney connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Utu momentarily.
That has opened up Rau Utu's cut even more.
Utu tries to close the distance and clinch but Sweeney swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Utu is keeping his hands low and just asking to be knocked out. Sweeney Raises his leg and lands a stunning axe kick! Utu is out cold, face down on the mat!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Declan Sweeney!
Declan Sweeney bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
