Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Adam Resso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sepp Maier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Resso's entrance music is Avenged Sevenfold-Beast and the Harlot. A fine choice. Maier has chosen Apaga mas não bate as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Resso ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Maier moves away.

Maier gets a takedown into half guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Resso makes his way to full guard, as Maier worked for a kimura.
Resso can't keep his opponent in guard - Maier advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Resso is controlling Maier's position as best he can from this difficult position.
Maier has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Maier looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.

Maier jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Resso is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Resso and Maier has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Maier is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Resso is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Maier is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Resso has managed to free his arm - good work.

Resso is trying to maintain the position but Maier is very close to passing his half guard.

Maier is looking for submissions but instead, Resso has regained full guard.
Resso looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Maier slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Maier goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Resso has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Maier but great work by Resso.

Maier is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Maier is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Resso pulls his head out easily.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Maier is bucking up trying to escape but Resso cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

That was a close round but I would say that Adam Resso will probably get the nod.
That's time! Resso's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Maier is defended easily by Resso.

Resso thows a body kick. Maier tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Maier fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Resso avoids it really well and circles away.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Maier will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Resso throws a sloppy head kick and Maier moves out of range easily.
Resso tries a head kick but it misses.
Maier shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Resso pinned against the cage. Resso gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Resso lands with a hook. Maier tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Resso misses with a body shot.

Maier moves out of range of the strikes.
Resso tries a head kick but it misses.
Maier tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Maier avoids the head kick by Resso.
Maier tries to close the distance and clinch up but Resso swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Maier looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Maier shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Resso but Resso pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Resso gets caught flat footed, as Maier shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Maier working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Resso pulls Maier in to control the position.
Maier postures up.
Resso pulls Maier in to control the position.
Resso avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Resso working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Maier.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Resso has his hands on Maier's head, controlling the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Adam Resso.

Maier closes the distance and pushes Resso back into the cage.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Maier obliges.
Resso lands a left hand that snaps the head of Maier backwards.
Maier jumps guard but Resso stands there with Maier around his waist. Maier gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Resso throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Maiers head.
Resso tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Maier throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Resso blocks it with crossed arms.

Maier wants a takedown.
Resso lands with a right to the head.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Resso is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Maier has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Resso avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Maier wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Maier manages to pull guard.
Maier keeping moving, preventing Resso from controlling successfully.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Resso stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Maier swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Resso advances to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Maier feints and as Resso raises his hands in defense, Maier changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Maier postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Maier tries to free his leg and advance position but Resso is retaining full guard.
Resso is trying to keep Maier in close.
Maier with a flurry of punches that miss.
Resso manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Maier manages to get himself to full guard.

Maier wants to sweep here but Resso controlling him for the moment.
Resso is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Resso is working Maier over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Maier looking for a triangle here. Resso is fighting it but it looks tight! Maier pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Resso is tapping out - this one is all over!
