Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 49 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, John Ketchup!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Winston Howard and Summer Carpenter.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lim displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Ketchup throws out the jab.
Lim pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Lim throws a right and a left that Ketchup avoids nicely.
Lim keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Ketchup takes the fight into the clinch.
Ketchup looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Lim throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Ketchups head.
Ketchup throws a head punch that misses.
Lim lands a left hand.
Lim is stalling here.
Ketchup tries to pull guard but Lim won't allow it.
Lim scores with a nice hook to the head.
Lim lands with a left to the head.
Lim lands a body shot in the clinch.
A short uppercut from Lim.

Lim leaning his opponent against the cage.
Lim lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Lim lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Lim lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Lim works on Ketchup's body with a couple of short punches.
Ketchup wants to break the clinch but can't.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
Lim lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Lim lands with a light punch inside.
Lim scores with a shot to the side of Ketchup's head.

Lim lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Ketchup is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Lim lands a nice uppercut.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A battle for position here, against the cage.
Ketchup's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Lim working some nice short punches in the clinch.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Lim.
Lim lands a hook to the side of the head.
Ketchup stalling in the clinch but Lim improves position.

Ketchup manages to break the clinch.
Lim lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Ketchup circles away quickly and effectively.
Lim scores with a punch to the head.

Ketchup scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Lim is not content to let Ketchup control the position.
Lim might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Lim pushes Ketchup away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Ketchup gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Ketchup trying to control the action but Lim is working from the bottom.
You can see the frustration on Lim's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Ketchup looking to control but instead Lim has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Lim tries to kick Ketchup off but Ketchup keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Ketchup is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Ketchup seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Lim does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Ketchup thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Ketchup is looking to take a break and control but Lim is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. John Ketchup wasn't active enough on the ground.
Ketchup swinging wildly here.
Lim stuffs the takedown attempt from Ketchup. Ketchup gets slowly back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Yo Hwan Lim dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Ketchup walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Lim throws a good cross that connects.
Ketchup looks for a takedown but Lim sprawls well.
Ketchup blocks a jab.
Lim thows a body shot but no joy.
Lim jabs at Ketchup's body.
Lim dips to his left and cracks Ketchup with an uppercut!
Lim cracks Ketchup with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Ketchup fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Lim connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Lim throws a hook but Ketchup avoids it easily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Ketchup.
Yo Hwan Lim has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Ketchup.
Lim defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Ketchup.
Lim catches Ketchup with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Ketchup fails to land the takedown.
Yo Hwan Lim is winning the standup battle so far.
Lim throws a hook to the side of Ketchup's head but Ketchup sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Lim pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Ketchup back to the cage. Lim follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.


Ketchup is rocked!
Ketchup looks up at the clock. Bad move! Lim lands a right hand from hell, dropping Ketchup. Lim pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:44 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Yo Hwan Lim!
Yo Hwan Lim decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
