Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kyun-Chul Kim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dom DeLuise (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kyun-Chul Kim!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Dom DeLuise!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Ivan Kurochkin and Illya Tyunina.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A clash of legs there as Kim blocks the low kick.
DeLuise misses with a jab, cross combination.
Kim just misses with a punch to the body.
DeLuise throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
DeLuise slips a jab from Kim.
Kim with a nice cross.
Kim misses with an uppercut. DeLuise saw that one coming.
DeLuise moves out of range as Kim strikes.
Kim stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Kim misses with a looping left.
Kim moves out of range of the body kick from DeLuise.
Kim is trying hard to land a takedown here. DeLuise sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Kim is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Kyun-Chul Kim seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
DeLuise bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

DeLuise lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
DeLuise thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Kim if he has to take too many more of those.

Nice uppercut there from Kim.
DeLuise sizes up Kim with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Kim checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Kim misses with a telegraphed body shot
and DeLuise counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Kim is lucky that one didn't land flush.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Kim throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
DeLuise fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Kim has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
DeLuise misses with a head kick.

DeLuise lands a big head kick that sends Kim tumbling to the mat! DeLuise takes a step backwards and waves Kim back to his feet - he wants the finish!


Kim is rocked!


It looks like Kyun-Chul Kim has been cut.
Kim keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Kim looks to score with a jab to the body but DeLuise is just out of range.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
DeLuise throws a lazy head kick

and Kim counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
DeLuise regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Kim.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as DeLuise holds on and takes a little breather.
DeLuise wants to sweep but no luck.
DeLuise avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Kim trying to control the position from guard on top but DeLuise is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Kim throwing strikes but missing.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kim accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Kim wants to control from the top but DeLuise keeps moving.
DeLuise is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Kim makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Kim tries to free his leg and advance position but DeLuise is retaining full guard.
Kim is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
DeLuise keeping moving, preventing Kim from controlling successfully.

Kim throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
DeLuise manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Kim is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
DeLuise prevents Kim from getting the reversal.
Kim tries to lock up and control but DeLuise gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Kim is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.
Kim is looking to improve his position but DeLuise isn't that keen on the idea.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
DeLuise keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Kim misses with the combination.
DeLuise scores with a head kick. Kim tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
A looping hook to the body misses from Kim. DeLuise does a little dance to reset his feet.
Kim swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Kim has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from DeLuise.
Kim thows a body shot but no joy.
Nice defenses there by DeLuise.
DeLuise fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Kim.
DeLuise connects with a solid leg kick.
Dom DeLuise seems to be getting the better of the standup.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
DeLuise throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Kim sees it coming and avoids it easily.
DeLuise buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Kim fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
DeLuise throws a series of punches but Kim moves out of range.

DeLuise pulls out of a head kick attempt.

and DeLuise counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

DeLuise uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Kim.
Dom DeLuise is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Kim swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
DeLuise cracks Kim with an open hand slap.
DeLuise keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

DeLuise throws a body kick that misses.
DeLuise wants to clinch up but Kim keeps it at a distance.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
DeLuise fails with an attempt to clinch.
DeLuise feints and then cracks Kim's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Kim down.
Kim just misses with a punch to the body.
DeLuise throws a right and a left that both miss.
DeLuise ducks under a wild hook from Kim.

and DeLuise counters by clinching up.
DeLuise lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Kim is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

DeLuise escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Kim loads up on a big right hand but DeLuise slips the punch.
DeLuise with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
DeLuise throws a head kick that misses.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from DeLuise, right into the meat.

and DeLuise counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Kim tries to move into range but DeLuise moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Kim jabs DeLuise right on the nose. DeLuise blinks but takes it well.

Dom DeLuise is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
DeLuise connects with the punch.
DeLuise pulls out of a head kick attempt.

A decent looking body kick lands there for DeLuise.
Kim takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
DeLuise pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Kim misses with a right hand
and DeLuise counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
DeLuise slips under a jab from Kim.
DeLuise is looking to clinch but Kim is avoiding it.
DeLuise pivots, looking for a leg kick but Kim is out of range and DeLuise settles back down.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dom DeLuise showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


DeLuise throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Kim sees it coming and avoids it easily.
DeLuise takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
DeLuise fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

DeLuise lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kim circles away quickly and effectively.

and Kim counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Kim postures up in DeLuise's guard and throws a big left but DeLuise blocks it.

Kim wants to control from the top but DeLuise keeps moving.

Kim throws a strike but DeLuise rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Kim is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Dom DeLuise is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Kim not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

DeLuise throws a leg kick which misses Kim's front leg but catches the back leg as Kim tries to avoid it.

Kim shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Kim throws a strike but DeLuise rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Kim wants to sweep here but DeLuise controlling him for the moment.

DeLuise wants to get up but he can't break Kim's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Kim pulls DeLuise in close to his closed guard and prevents DeLuise from doing any damage or advancing position.
DeLuise tries to stand but Kim is controlling from the bottom.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
DeLuise won't allow Kim to sweep him here.

And that's the end of the fight!
Kyun-Chul Kim showed his dominance in that final round.
I think DeLuise has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
