And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, David Miller!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Sergei Dronov and Igor Prikhodko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Van Kirkland shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Miller is staying active underneath Van Kirkland, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Miller misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Van Kirkland is squirming around, avoiding Miller's attempts to control the action.

David Miller showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Miller shoots in and bounces Van Kirkland off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Miller drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Miller jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Miller is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Miller got a little sloppy there for a moment and Van Kirkland has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Miller has managed to get both his arms back between Van Kirkland's legs - danger averted.

Miller is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Van Kirkland has escaped the position, nice work there.
Miller wants to control but Van Kirkland is keeping him busy.

Miller is looking to take a break and control but Van Kirkland is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Miller has hold of Van Kirkland's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Van Kirkland seems comfortable defending it but Miller has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Van Kirkland is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Van Kirkland is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Miller couldn't care less - he's delighted!
