Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Patrick Whales (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pablo Escobar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pablo Escobar will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Patrick Whales!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Pablo Escobar!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Yves DeLean and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A lazy left from Escobar finds it's target.
A slow jab from Escobar misses its intended target.
Patrick Whales seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Escobar looks to score with a jab to the body but Whales is just out of range.
A looping hook to the body misses from Escobar. Whales does a little dance to reset his feet.
Escobar misses with a wild body shot.
Whales moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Whales uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Escobar.
Escobar chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Whales punishes Escobar's body with a nice straight punch.

Whales throws a wild body kick that Escobar sees coming a mile off.
Escobar moves out of range of the body kick from Whales.

Escobar connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Whales lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Escobar has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Escobar and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Escobar throws a low kick but it's checked well by Whales.

Whales fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Escobar, pushing him back against the cage.

Whales lands a nice uppercut.

Escobar is looking to control Whales's arms but Whales gets an underhook and turns him. Now Escobar has his back to the cage.
Whales goes for a takedown in the clinch but Escobar prevents it.

Escobar escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Escobar stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Escobar throws a jab but it's blocked by Whales.

enabling Escobar to counter with a crisp jab.

Whales fails with an attempt to clinch.

Whales moves into the clinch.
Escobar takes a shot to the head.
Whales throws a head punch that misses.
Escobar throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Whaless head.
Escobar misses with a short punch on the inside.
Escobar lands a hook to the side of the head.
A frustrated look appears on Escobar's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Escobar is trying to break the clinch but Whales is controlling him.
Escobar is defending well against a takedown attempt.

Escobar goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Escobar avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Oooooh!!! Escobar has knocked Whales down with a huge combo! Escobar steps away and waves a wobbly Whales back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Whales clinches up with Escobar and pushes him back against the cage.
Oh Whales is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Whales goes for a takedown in the clinch but Escobar prevents it.
Whales seems to have got his legs back now.
Whales goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Pablo Escobar seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.

Escobar pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Whales fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Escobar checks it well.
Escobar misses with a hook. Whales ducked under it nicely.
Whales looks to score with a jab to the body but Escobar is just out of range.
Escobar throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Whales will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Pablo Escobar showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! And we move into the final round!

Whales is looking to stall here but Escobar recovers full guard.

Escobar has momentary wrist control but Whales slips an elbow through the middle.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Whales's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Escobar is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Escobar is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
