James has chosen Limp Bizkit Eat You Alive as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 25 - 11 - 0, fighting out of New York, Helio James!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, James Glass and Richard Clark.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
James tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Beck counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Beck.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

James working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Beck doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Beck manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

James has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Beck can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

James has his foot on Beck's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Beck works his way back into a safe position though.

James escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Beck gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Beck got a little sloppy there for a moment and James has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Beck has managed to get both his arms back between James's legs - danger averted.

James is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

so Beck counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Beck is working James over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

James isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Beck stacks James on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Beck!
