Van Der Sluijs comes to the cage accompanied by Shutterbugg - Big Boi Feat. Cutty. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Piper closes the distance and clinches up with Van Der Sluijs, looking for a takedown. Piper pushes Van Der Sluijs against the cage but Van Der Sluijs circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Van Der Sluijs moves out of range as Piper strikes.

Piper closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

That was a close round but I would say that Laurens Van Der Sluijs will probably get the nod.
