Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ben Grimm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Agni Kapila (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kapila comes into a darkened arena with his song building. SGX - Composer kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grimm lands a nice leg kick that just misses Kapila's sensitive parts.
Grimm throws a head kick that misses.
Kapila thows a body shot but no joy.
Grimm lands with a good body shot.
Kapila misses with a hook.
Grimm tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kapila was well out of range. Poor timing from Grimm.
Grimm scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Kapila shoots in looking for a takedown. Grimm tries to sprawl out of it but Kapila keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Grimm manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Agni Kapila seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Kapila throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Grimm drops his hands momentarily and Kapila takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Kapila feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Kapila is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Grimm defends well.
Kapila wants to control the position but Grimm says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.

Kapila might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Grimm haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Grimm tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Kapila darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Grimm fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Grimm lands with a thumping leg kick.
Grimm looks to score with a jab to the body but Kapila is just out of range.
Grimm misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Kapila fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Kapila fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Grimm manages to avoid it.
Grimm is looking to wear down Kapila with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

and Grimm counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Kapila closes the distance and clinches up with Grimm, looking for a takedown. Kapila pushes Grimm against the cage but Grimm circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Grimm connects with a leg kick. Kapila looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Grimm uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Kapila.
Grimm misses the shot to the body.
Kapila changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Grimm tries to avoid it but Kapila manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Grimm to the ground. Grimm escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Ben Grimm has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Agni Kapila.

Kapila chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Grimm can pounce on him.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Grimm here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

Grimm lands with a short punch from the clinch.

That has opened up Agni Kapila's cut even more.
Grimm lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Kapila backwards.

Kapila is still on wobbly legs! Can Grimm finish him?
Kapila's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.

Grimm swings wildly with an uppercut but Kapila uses good head movement to avoid it.
Kapila seems to have recovered his senses.
A nice right hand lands inside from Grimm.
Grimm pushes Kapila against the cage. Grimm is working some dirty boxing. Grimm pushes off with a quick right hook! Kapila goes down! Kapila tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Grimm moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:18 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ben Grimm!
