The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reed checks a leg kick.
Reed displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Proudstar.
Proudstar moves out of range as Reed throws a body kick.
Reed connects with a jab.


It looks like James Proudstar has been cut.
Reed misses with a body kick.
Reed misses the shot to the body.
Reed just misses with a punch to the body.

Reed feints and then cracks Proudstar's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Proudstar down.
Travis Reed seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Proudstar explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Reed thows a body shot but no joy.

Reed stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Proudstar.

Proudstar lands a nice hook to Reed's body. Reed takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Proudstar cracks Reed with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Reed looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Proudstar finish him?
Proudstar connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Travis Reed is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
A nice inside leg kick there by Proudstar. That's going to slow Reed down.
Proudstar throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Reed has momentary wrist control but Proudstar slips an elbow through the middle.


Reed is rocked!
Proudstar postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Reed covers up, he's hurt! Proudstar keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Proudstar and the ref steps in to end the fight! Proudstar can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). James Proudstar!
After winning the bout, James Proudstar thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
