Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Wesley Cardoso!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are William Peck, Alec Ball and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
An inside leg kick lands from De Leeuw .
De Leeuw fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Cardoso looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Cardoso tries to close the distance and clinch but De Leeuw swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Cardoso throws a head kick that misses.
De Leeuw with a hook.
Cardoso tries to clinch but De Leeuw moves out of range.
A head kick misses from Cardoso.
Cardoso takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
A good leg kick by De Leeuw .
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
De Leeuw lands with a nice body punch.
Cardoso is looking to clinch but De Leeuw is avoiding it.
De Leeuw keeps the fight on the outside.
Some wild striking there from De Leeuw .
De Leeuw changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
De Leeuw keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Cardoso is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Cardoso jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Cardoso swings away with a leg kick that misses.
That's one minute gone in the round.
A slapping leg kick lands for De Leeuw .
Cardoso takes a jab right on the kisser.
A jab from Cardoso misses.
Cardoso's hands are dropping dangerously low here and De Leeuw connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Cardoso scrambles back to his feet.
De Leeuw fakes the leg kick and cracks Cardoso in the body.
I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! De Leeuw has cracked Cardoso with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! De Leeuw lands another huge swinging hook and Cardoso tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Cardoso, before De Leeuw can land any more shots!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Nando De Leeuw !
An out of breath Nando De Leeuw thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
