Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Azhiev gets tackled into the cage by Light. Light maintains the clinch.
The referee is keeping an eye on Light - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Azhiev drops down looking for an ankle pick but Light pulls his leg out and moves away.
Light scores with a jab to the head.

Azhiev fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Light, pushing him back against the cage.
Light lands a nice shot to the body.
Light's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Light's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Light throws a one two combo.
Anzhor Azhiev seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Azhiev has Light up against the cage in a clinch.
Light goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Azhiev looking for a takedown.

Light escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Azhiev has closed the distance and engaged Light in a clinch.
Light presses Azhiev against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Azhiev wants to take the fight to the mat but Light manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Anzhor Azhiev. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A short body shot lands from Light as the two fighters clinch.

Light breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Light throws a combination. Azhiev tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

Azhiev is rocked!
Light steps in with a hook that catches Azhiev right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Light follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Azhiev looks absolutely devastated.
