The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pham shoots for a takedown but Hall saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Pham shoots in for a takedown but Hall shows good takedown defense.
Hall tries to bum rush Pham with a series of wild strikes but Pham uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Hall with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Pham to score with a decent uppercut.

Hall buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Hall throws a right hand that Pham ducks under and follows up with a left that Pham also avoids with ease.

Hall darts in and clinches Pham up against the cage.

Pham drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Hall gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Gene Hall showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Pham tries to score a power double leg takedown but Hall sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Pham somewhat.

Pham is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Hall knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Thu Pham.
I think Hall has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
