PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between James Harbor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and All Inn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, James Harbor!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 14 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, All Inn!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Steve Smith and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Inn fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Harbor avoids it really well and circles away.
Harbor stuffs the takedown attempt from Inn. Inn gets slowly back to his feet.
Harbor swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Inn shoots in looking for a takedown. Harbor tries to sprawl out of it but Inn keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Harbor manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
James Harbor has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of All Inn.
Inn keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Harbor.
Inn misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Harbor misses with a body shot.
Harbor jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Harbor lands a right hook to the body.
Inn keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Inn scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Inn throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Harbor looks to land a right hand but Inn moved out of range.
Harbor misses with a hook to the body

and Inn counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Inn thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Harbor's head.
Inn throwing shots but Harbor is blocking nicely.
Harbor is looking for a sweep. Inn is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Inn wants to lay and pray for a moment but Harbor keeps working.

Harbor looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Harbor is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Harbor is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Inn pulls his head out easily.
Harbor throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

Harbor is defending against the submission attempts here by Inn.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Harbor actively working from the bottom here.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Inn looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Inn lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Inn is working for a kimura but Harbor is defending it quite comfortably.
Harbor blocking the ground and pound attempt from Inn.
Inn landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Harbor is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Harbor punching from the bottom.

Inn is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Harbor sees it coming and defends easily.
Inn working over Harbor with some ground and pound. Harbor looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.

Harbor looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.

Harbor looking for submissions from an awkward position here.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Harbor gets full guard.
Inn landing some decent shots from guard.

Inn has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Harbor to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Inn is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Harbor pulls down on the head and he's put Inn to sleep! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). James Harbor!
An out of breath James Harbor thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
