PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Duke Maximus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gilbert Yvel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Maximus comes into the arena with No Surrender blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Duke Maximus!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Gilbert Yvel!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Kenichi Hosakawa and Shirou Masuda.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maximus lands a nice leg kick that just misses Yvel's sensitive parts.
Yvel steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Maximus. That one must have hurt.
Sloppy strikes from Maximus. Those never looked like landing.
Yvel tries to clinch up.
Maximus tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Yvel paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Maximus fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Yvel has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Yvel misses with a looping left.
Maximus lets loose with a powerful body kick. Yvel will feel that in the morning.
Yvel looks winded!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Maximus turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Yvel takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Maximus is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Maximus digs a good body shot into Yvel's ribs.
A nice leg kick lands there from Maximus.
Yvel keeps the fight on the outside.
Yvel tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Maximus wants to clinch up but Yvel keeps it at a distance.
Maximus lands a head kick!
Maximus lands with a nice body punch.
Yvel should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Yvel keeps the fight on the outside.
Maximus thuds his shin into the meat of Yvel's side.
Maximus looks for a left high kick but can't connect. Maximus backs up to catch a breather... no he lunges forward with a huge flying knee that smacks Yvel's temple! It sends Yvel violently to the canvas! The crowd goes nuts as Maximus celebrates and the doctors try to help Yvel!
