Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Arana Kahui (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dominickoy Palhares (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kahui comes to the cage accompanied by Mustasch - Dogwash. Palhares has chosen "Rumour Has It/Someone Like You" as his entrance music. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Arana Kahui!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Dominickoy Palhares!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Ryoma Takatsuka and Colin Fray.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kahui cracks a nice hook into Palhares's ribs.
Kahui stuffs the takedown attempt from Palhares. Palhares gets slowly back to his feet.
Kahui uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Palhares has time to react.

It looks like Dominickoy Palhares has been cut.

Palhares shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Kahui pushes Palhares off and gets back to his feet.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Palhares moves out of range of the strikes.
Palhares shoots in looking for a takedown. Kahui tries to sprawl out of it but Palhares keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kahui manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Palhares closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Kahui's guard.
Kahui has Palhares pulled in close to control his posture.

Palhares postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Kahui is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Palhares, into his guard.
Palhares wants to sweep here but Kahui controlling him for the moment.

That's one minute gone in the round.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Palhares is on top in guard.
Palhares stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kahui swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Palhares is looking to pass into half guard but Kahui pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Kahui is in guard.

Kahui gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Palhares ducks right into an uppercut from Kahui.
Palhares shoots in for a double leg but Kahui sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Arana Kahui has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dominickoy Palhares.
Kahui missing with a left hand there. Palhares was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Palhares shoots in for a takedown but Kahui shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Kahui throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Kahui dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Palhares looks winded!
